Eureka Mindfulness invites you the 1st & 3rd Sundays 10am-12:30pm

You don’t have to be Buddhist to enjoy the scientifically-proven physical and psychological benefits of Buddhist mindfulness meditation! The Eureka Mindfulness group offers mindfulness (“vipassana” insight) instruction and discussion in a relaxed, friendly way.

Please arrive at 10am promptly, even you have experience meditating.

10am-10:15 beginner and special instruction.

10:15-10:35 silent meditation

10:35-11:30 a featured topic, technique and discussion

11:30-11:40 donation collection, announcements

11:40a-12:30p “bring your own lunch” eating and socializing with like-minded, like-hearted folks : )

Each meeting spotlights a different featured topic and technique. Featured topics rotate from body (illness, pain, etc.) to mind (anxiety, depression, etc.) to spirit (experiencing the sacred, sensing the eternal now, etc.),

Meetings are led by Dr. Cindee Grace a naturopath retired from holistic health practice and who still gives music lessons music lessons.

Suggested donation $3-$6. No one turned away for lack of funds. A donation of any amount is appreciated but not required.

We have folding chairs to sit on. Feel free to bring a cushion to sit on (upon a chair or the floor). It’s OK if you need to move or lie down during the meeting. Consider bringing paper and pen with which to take notes during the “featured topic” period.

Our meetings are smoke-free and fragrance-free. Do not wear perfume, hairspray, cologne, etc. If you smoke, allow at least one hour between your last smoke and entering our meeting. Call two six nine 7044 if you have questions about your personal use products, so that you can be respectful about our shared air.

Our location is wheelchair-accessible (bathroom doesn’t accommodate extra-large wheelchairs wider than 26½ inches). We meet in the Sequoia Room of the First Christian Church, 730 K Street (7th and K) in Eureka, CA 95501. Use the wheelchair ramp entrance on K Street and enter through the door marked “church office.” Turn right at the first room.

For more information, email us from Dr. Grace’s music lessons website http://www.humboldtmusic.com/cindeegrace www.humboldtmusic.com/cindeegrace or phone two six nine 7044.
